To commemorate Jerry Garcia's birthday, Relix published a rare interview conducted in 1989 with the late Grateful Dead guitarist. By then, Garcia's psychedlics intake was mostly mushrooms ("it's a little milder, easier to handle") and DMT. He'd "sort of stopped" smoking pot because he was in a substance abuse program. "I went all the way with drugs," Jerry confided. "I mean, I got into serious hard drugs."

Celluloid stoner favorites Jack Black and Seth Rogen get the cover treatment in this month's issues of Blender and GQ, respectively. While Black's grilled about drugs, Rogen's profiled at length, with a special focus on Pineapple Express, which opens on August 8. "I didn't realize this," the actor/writer deadpans, "but weed is considered a genre."

A new biography of Willie Nelson claims that the country singer first smoked pot when he was 10 years old in 1943. This contradicts Nelson's own autobiography in which he says his maiden marijuana voyage was in 1954 courtesy of Fort Worth musician Fred Lockwood. CelebStoner contacted Nelson's biographer Joe Nick Patoksi for a clarification.
