July 10: Business Week 10 @ High Times 4
In the much anticipated matchup of the NYMSL's 2007 playoff finalists, Business Week got the best of High Times, who ended BW's 35-game winning streak with an come-from-behind title game victory last September. In this contest, BW took an early 4-run lead on their home field in Riverside Park and doubled it in the 3rd inning when lefty-swinging 1B Del Hawbraker clouted a 3-run HR over the stone wall in right field. HT fought back with 3 runs in the 4th, but it was too little and too late as BW cruised to their 4th straight league win. (Steve Bloom)

The New York Media Softball League was founded in 2007 with six teams: BusinessWeek, DC Comics, High Times, Trader Monthly, Wall Street Journal and WNYC. Teams must have official New York City Parks Department permits in order to join the league. We will consider adding more teams for the 2009 season.
