Like great grandfather, like great grandson. On Jutne 30, he NFL announced the one-year suspension of Ravens tight end Darren Waller for violating the league's substance abuse policy after testing positive for marijuana. His great grandfather was "Reefer Song" singer Fats Waller.
Demetrius Harris, the Chiefs' backup tight end, was arrested Mar. 7 after a traffic stop led to a search that produced more than 35 grams of pot in the car. Police charged Harris with suspicion of felony possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
Green Bay receiver Geronimo Allison was arrested for marijuana possession in September. The charge was filed in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin in December, but was revealed several days before the Packers met the Cowboys in the NFL playoffs on Jan. 15.
Second-year defensive end Randy Gregory failed three drug tests for THC in 2015 and was suspended for four games at the start of the 2016 season. He's since missed two more tests and now has been docked for a year.
