Farm Aid 2020 Is Virtual and Free

Like most events in 2020, Farm Aid has gone virtual. The good news is everyone can watch it for free at farmaid.org or Farm Aid's YouTube channel on September 26 from 8-11 pm ET.

Willie Nelson, the face of Farm Aid, will head the bill that includes fellow Farm Aid board members Neil Young, Dave Matthews and John Mellancamp, plus Bonnie Raitt and Boz Scaggs, Norah Jones, Black Pumas, Edie Brickell with Charlie Sexton, Brandi Carlisle, Jack Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson, Nathaniel Rateliff, Margo Price, Jon Batiste, Kelsey Walden, The Recorxd Company, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real and The Particle Kid.

It's Farm Aid's 35th anniversary. Nelson notes about the unusual nature of this year's event:

"This pandemic and so many many other challenges have revealed how essential family farmers and ranchers are to the future of our planet. Farm Aid 2020 is going to give the whole country a chance to learn about the important work of farmers and how they're contributing to our well being, beyond bringing us good food."

A longtime marijuana advocate and member of NORML's advisory board, Nelson has never been shy about promoting hemp at Farm Aid.
