Marijuana Is Safer MPP Ad

The Marijuana Policy Project is taking its message that pot is a better choice than alcohol to the Indianapolis Speedway, where the Brickyard 400 auto race is happening Sunday. The latest MPP ad has a rock track and a voiceover that goes: "If you're an adult who enjoys a good beer, there's a similar product you might want to know about - one without all the calories and serious health problems, less toxic so it doesn't cause hangovers or overdose deaths, and it's not linked to violence or reckless behavior. Marijuana: less harmful than alcohol and time to treat it that way. For more information visit marijuanaissafer.org."

The ad will be displayed on a large video screen outside the event throughout the weekend.

"We wanted to reach out to an audience that clearly appreciates that adults should be able to use beer and alcohol responsibly," says MPP communications director Mason Tvert. "They should also be able to use marijuana responsibly - since it's less harmful."
