Rand Paul's Son Has an Alcohol Problem

The Family Paul: William, Kelly, Duncan, U.S. Senator Rand and Michael.

For the second time in 2013, William Paul, Sen. Rand Paul's oldest son, was busted for being intoxicated on alcohol. The latest incident took place at Keeneland Racetrack in Lexington, Kentucky on Oct. 18.

William Hilton Paul’s January 2013 mug shot.

Paul received a citation for possession of alcohol by a minor during College Scholarship Day held at the racetrack. The 20-year-old student attends the University of Kentucky. Officials from the state's Department of Beverage Control were conducting a "targeting enforcement detail" when Paul was nabbed with booze.

This charge is fairly insignificant (he's required to to pay a $25 fine) compared to his prior arrest at Charlotte Douglas Airport in North Carolina on Jan. 5. While in the air, Paul assaulted a flight attendant after she woke him up. The senator's son was issued four misdemeanors for consuming alcohol underage, disorderly conduct at an airport, being intoxicated and disruptive, and assault.

Paul went to alcohol education classes and did 150 hours of community service before the charges were cleared form his record in August.
