Beam Me Up: William Shatner Calls Cannabis 'Magical'

William Shatner on Pot: "I’m finding out there are many things that help aches and pains that we didn’t know about just a few years ago. THC and CBD, and that kind of thing. It’s magical."

On his web show Brown Bag Wine Tasting in 2014 William Shatner (a.k.a. TV's Captain Kirk of Star Trek fame) declared about marijuana:

"It's a great thing. It's a great gift. I think marijuana's terrific. It's a great herb. When they made it legal in certain states I thought that was great. When they macde it legal in certain states I thought that was great."

Now in 2020, the 89-year-old actor says he has "some aches and pains" he didn't have a few years ago and has discovered a natural treatment:

"I'm finding out there are many things that help aches and pains that we didn't know about just a few years ago. THC and CBD, and that kind of thing. I've had swollen joints where it hurts. You rub some on and while you're rubbing it on, the pain disappears. It's magical."
