Robin Williams on Weed, Alcohol and Cocaine

Robin Williams wore a pot-leaf tie on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in 2011.

Many things will be written about the life and mysterious death of Robin Williams, who suffered from bipolar disorder and had addiction problems. In the clips we've assembled, he jokes about marijuana, alcohol and cocaine.

This clip is from his last HBO special, Weapons of Self-Destruction, in 2009:

"California weed is kickass fucking weed. This is weed that even Jamaicans go, Oh don't smoke dat weed, mon. It's California catatonic… You get so stoned you end up sitting on your couch for a week to the point that your cat's going, Get up, you asshole…

'If they legalize it they're going to have to regulate it and they're going to have to put a warning on a box of joints. It's going to have to say: The surgeon general has determined this will make your music AWESOME - even Yanni. And if you thought  you enjoyed cartoons before. If they're going to have ads, it will be like instead of the Marlboro Man it will be the Mendocino Man. It will be a cowboy on the back of a horse going, Shit, am I thirsty, goddamn! Even the horse will be going, I don't know where the fuck I am. Goddamn, I got a little cottonmouth here.'

These two clips are from Williams' 1986 album Live at the Met:

"When you get stoned your discussion goes out the window… You're stopped by a motorcycle cop… From inside your car comes this Columbian sauna - suddenly he's hungry and he doesn't know why…"

'Cocaine, um - what a wonderful thing. Anything that makes you paranoid and impotent, give me more of that.'
