Tommy Chong Takes Final Bow on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews join Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd for their curtain call on "Dancing With the Stars."

"It just shows old stoners can perform when they need to," Tommy Chong quipped after ending his 10-week run with Peta Murgatroyd on Dancing With the Stars.

They danced to two versions Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" in the semifinals on Week 10 on Nov. 17. Unfortunately, Team Chongatroyd didn't make it to the finals despite one of their best scores.

For Week 10, the remaining five pairs had to dance to the same song twice. Chong wore a dapper black suit, shirt and matching Fedora, and Murgatroyd a risqué tight outfit for the first version, which received a 28-point score. Prior to the second "unplugged" dance, they showed a brief bio of Chong's life, growing up poor in Canada, meeting Cheech Marin and his wife Shelby, moving to Los Angeles and, along with Marin, becoming an internationally known comedian and movie star. His daughter Rae Dawn called him a "survivor."

Dressed in dark red outfits, they wowed the judges with their second effort, receiving 34 points, their highest score since Week 3.

Unfortunately, at the end the axe fell on Chong, who was the the oldest celebrity to get this far on DWTS

Here's the Week 10 tally (last week in parens):

1. Janel Parrish 40/38 (38/39)
2. Bethany Mota 40/36 (36/38)
3. Alfonso Ribeiro 36/39 (37/40)
4. Sadie Robertson 37/37 (33/40)
5. Tommy Chong 28/34 (29/28)
