Comedian and erstwhile presidential candidate Roseanne Barr says she's going blind and is using marijuana to treat the symptoms of both macular degeneration and glaucoma.
"It’s good for me because I have pressure in my eyes," Barr says. "It’s a good medicine for a lot of things. It’s expansive. It opens your mind… You look up into the stars. It makes you wonder. It doesn’t close that down.”
Barr is the subject of Eric Weinrib's documentary Roseanne for President that's been screening at the Tribeca Film Festival. The final screening is Apr. 25 at 5:30 pm at Regal Cinemas Battery Park in New York.
Fellow comedian Whoopi Goldberg also uses marijuana to counter the effects of glaucoma.
