Musicians, Actors and Athletes for California's Prop 64

Sting, Sarah Silverman, Shailene Woodley, Melissa Etheridge, Jay Z, Harry Belafonte, Tim Robbins, Herbie Hancock, Common, Danny Glover, Bill Kreutzmann, Olivia Wilde, Russell Simmons, Ricky Williams, Piper Kerman, Pusha T, MIchael K. Williams, Al Harrington, Kenyon Martin and Barry Melton are among the 35 celebrities who have endorsed the marijuana legalization initiative, Prop 64,  in California.

In the above video, former NBA player Al Harrington tells his story of discovering marijuana as a player (he uses it for pain and inflammation) and encouraging his grandmother, who has glaucoma, to use it. After some convincing, she tried a vaporizer. When it restored some of her her vision, she declared she was "healed."

During his 16 seasons in the NBA, Harrington played for seven teams. He was selected straight out of St. Patrick H.S. in Elizabeth, NJ by the Indiana Pacers in the 1998 draft. His best year was 2008–2009 when he averaged 20.7 ppg for the New York Knicks. Harrington retired from the NBA in 2014.

"Marijuana," he says, "has enhanced my life."
