Distinctions: He had seven No. 1 country hits: "I Ain't Never" (No. 1, 1972); "Sawmill (No. 1, 1973); "Good Woman Blues" and "Heart Healer" (1976); "I Believe You" (1978); "Coca-Cola Cowboy" (1979); and "Southern Rains." He released the single "Loco Weed" in 1960 (see below). Tillis was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007.
