Woody Harrelson to Colbert: 'You Don't Have to Smoke a Brownie, Dude'

Back in March, it was reported that natural-born hempster Woody Harrelson had stopped smoking pot. Stephen Colbert directed the question to Harrelson on The Late Show on July 10. The actor was cagey, half-heartedly admitting it's true, but then again maybe not (cue to 5:56 in above clip).

Colbert: I understand you don't smoke weed anymore. Is this true?

"I don't smoke any less (cheers). I did, I quit smoking... this morning. I'll pick it up after this. No, I actually did quit."

Colbert: So you don't smoke weed anymore?

"You don't have to smoke a brownie, dude. You know what I'm saying?"

The rest of thje interview focused on Willie Nelson and Maui (both Harrelson and his friend Nelson live on Maui), Harrelson's role in the next Star Wars movie in 2018, and his part in War for the Planet of the Apes, which opens July 14.

It would appear from Harrelson's statements that he may have stopped smoking marijuana, but continues to eat and vaporize it.

Harrelson was one of the first modern-day celebrities to adocate for, first, hemp legalization and then for legalization for all uses.

He's had a busy year, appearing in Wilson and Lost in London, which Harrelson also wrote and directed.
