Charles Barkley Says He's Smoked Marijuana At Least Five Times

"I don't understand the fascination with pot," Charles Barkely told Jimmy Kimmel on Feb. 14 during a segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live (cue to 4:55 in above clip).

"I've smoked five times in my life at the most and all it made me want to do is eat potato chips," the NBA Hall of Famer joked.

"I've got friends who love it, I'll admit," the former Sixer, Sun and Rocket went on. "But it didn't take me no place, it didn't make me feel a type of way. I just wanted potato chips."

Barkley concluded the cannabis discussion by reiterating:

"I don't judge other people, but I don't understand the fascination with pot."

During his 16-year NBA career, from 1984-2000, Barkley averaged 22 points and nearly 12 rebounds per game. Due to his playing weight of 250-260 pounds, he was dubbed the "Round Mound of Rebound."

It's been estimated that as many as 80% of NBA players use marijuana. Unlike the NFL, the NBA doesn't have a strict drug-testing policy for pot.
