ABC Rejects Lowell Smokes Ad Featuring Bella Thorne

Another network has refused a cannabis ad, this time ABC. When Lowell Herb Co., a California cultivator, submitted the 90-second spot featuring actress Bella Thorne smoking a spliff to air during the Oscars telecast on February 24, the network rejected it.

"We take pride in bringing you an All-American original," the narrator says. "Legal, natural cannabis... finally." The company is know for its brand of flower and prerolls sold as Lowell Smokes.

Thorne (above right in photo) commented: “It’s a shame that that message won’t be televised… for now.”

Thorne is currently dating rapper Mod Sun, who's been featured before at CelebStoner.

In January, CBS rejected an pot ad submitted by Acreage Holdings for the Super Bowl.
