Kristen Bell Gets Happy with Hemp Topicals Line

Actress Kristen Bell is cool: She's appeared in movies, on TV and in plays, is married to actor Dax Shephard and just launched a line of CBD products.

Bell's Happy Dance topicals brand has been released in association with Cronos, the Ontario-based cannabis company. The first three products are body butter ($30), coconut melt ($25) and bath bomb ($15). They all contain full-spectrum hemp extract and either Shea or cocoa butter.

“I discovered CBD through the Lord Jones brand in 2017 and was blown away by its quality, integrity and consistency," Bell explains.

"As a working mom, I use CBD skincare as a way to turn down the volume of my life. CBD products have since become an essential part of my self-care routine. I was inspired to create a line of high-quality, affordable CBD bath and body care products that would reach a wide audience. Having been involved in all aspects of bringing this new brand to life, from the formulations to the packaging, I couldn’t be happier to launch Happy Dance.”

Cronos acquired Lord Jones for $300 million in 2019.

Bell has previously said about marijuana, "Weed rules. Weed is my drug of choice, for sure.”

Happy Dance will donate 1% of all profits to A New Way of Life Re-Entry Project, a Black-owned Los Angeles-based organization that "provides housing, case management, pro bono legal services, advocacy and leadership development for women rebuilding their lives after prison," according to a press release.

Bell joins other women with CBD brands, such as Martha Stewart and Rachael and Megan Rapinoe. Jane Fonda and Toni Braxton have also been touting Uncle Bud's Hemp as brand ambassadors.
