It took a broken ankle for Nicole Kidman to see the light about CBD. In April, the Oscar-winning actress sustained the injury while jogging around her neighborhood in Nashville. On December 10, she was named strategic business partner and global brand ambassador for Sera Labs, a CBD company based in Maine.

Kidman stated:

"With my injury last year, I experienced the benefit of CBD wellness products firsthand. I believe these products are a vital solution in health and wellness and Nancy and Sera Labs are a company I believe in. Joining them in this partnership is something I'm very excited about."

Kidman was referring to Nancy Duitch, CEO of Sera. CURE Pharmaceutical Holding Corp. acquired Sera in 2020.

"Nicole will undoubtedly help Sera Labs reach more consumers than ever before and grow our revenue exponentially over the next few years," added CURE CEO Rob Davidson.

Sera's product line includes topicals, tinctures, capsules and gummies for both people and pets.

Kidman joins other high-profile celebs as CBD brand ambassadors, investors and company owners, including Magic Johnson, Jane Fonda, Kristen Bell and Brett Favre.

She's married to country-music star and fellow Aussie Keith Urban. Kidman recently appeared in The Prom and Bombshell. She earned an Academy Award for her leading role in The Hours (2002).
