Happy 50th Birthday to Snoop Dogg from CelebStoner

Snoop Dogg turned 50 on October 20.

The Long Beach, California hip-hop star born as Calvin Broadus Jr. in 1971 became an international sensation after coming out of the California gangster rap scene in the early '90s with the help of producer Dr. Dre.

 

Snoop's Net Worth

Snoop's estimated to be worth $150 million. Some of that money comes from cannabis. He co-founded Leafs by Snoop, Merry Jane and Casa Verde Capital, which recently invested $15 million in Portugal medical marijuana company AceCann.

Snoop Hypes Corona 

Since 2020, Snoop has been spokesperson for Corona and appeared in a series of "The Fine Life" commercials.

Snoop on TV

Snoop continues his odd-couple association with Martha Stewart on a new baking show on Peacock: Snoop & Martha's Very Tasty Halloween. It premieres October 21. Watch the trailer below.

Snoop also has a supporting role as a pastor on the take on Starz's Black Mafia Family.

Snoop in the Studio

Snoop's next album Algorithm is due out November 12 on Def Jam Records, where he's now an executive consultant. Snoop told Jimmy Fallon on September 27 (watch below), "It's featuring a lot of big name acts and a lot of new ones." He plans to follow with a "Def Jam kids album." 

 

Snoop on Tour

Snoop is performing with Mount Westmore at Toyota Arena in Ontario, California on Novemeber 13 and at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky on November 20. Mount Westmore consists of Snoop, Ice Cube, E-40 and Too Short. 

Snoop will be part of the Super Bowl LVI halftime show with Dr. Dre, Mary J, Blige, Kendrick Lamar and Eminem.

 

Snoop in HIgh Times

In a High Times cover story in 2000, Snoop said, "If the government legalized weed, the crime rate would go down. People would just wanna chill."

How Snoop Plans to Celebrate His 50th Birthday

Snoop also told Fallon that his wife Shante is "throwing a party me, a player's ball for my 50th birthday party. We're going to be suited in booty. We'll be ready to do what we do."
