Grammy nominee 2 Chainz was arrested for marijuana possession on Feb. 14 in Maryland. It was quite a week for the Georgia-born rapper, who went from the Grammys to appearing on 2 Broke Girls to getting busted.

The arrest took place in Easton. His vehicle (2 Chainz wasn't driving) was pulled over for speeding. The smell of marijuana led to a search. Police found a small amount and a grinder. After being charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, and released from custody, 2 Chainz (nee Tauheed Epps) performed at University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne (he arrived late).

"Went to jail for a grinder??? REALLY???" he tweeted. "Locked me up and then wanted pictures smh… Not to mention my security says it was his and they said, he don't smoke, how da fuk u know?"

UPDATE: On Apr. 26, 2 Chains was found not guilty.

Formerly known as Tity Boi as a member of the Playaz Circle, he re-christened himself 2 Chainz and established a solo career. His debut album, Based on a T.R.U. Story, was nominated for Best Rap Album. He received two more Grammy noms for his contribution to Kanye West's "Mercy."
