Biden Campaign Pissed About Trump's Call for Debate Drug Tests

President Trump continues to bark about his challenger Joe Biden's mental improvement during debates, demanding that Biden take a drug test before or after the first presidential debate on September 29.

"Go back and watch his performances in some of those debates," Trump told the Washington Times on August 26. "He didn't know where he was. And all of a sudden, he was not good, he was normal, and I don't understand how. I don't know if there is or not, but somebody said to me, 'He must be on drugs.' I don't know if that's true or not, but I'm asking for a drug test. Both candidates. Me, too. I take an aspirin a day."

"Somebody said to me" is Trump's standard line when he's advancing a false theory or argument. Trump likes to parrot other peoples' opinions; if they're not true and he repeats them, then it's somehow not his fault. He wants people to think Biden is mentally unfit to be president. Trump did the same thing with Hillary Clinton, questioning her energy on the campaign trail. He also suggested she take a drug test before the 2016 debates, but that never happened.

"I think it's appropriate," Trump added. "I don't know that they'll let me do it, but I think that they should do it."

Continuing to rail against the former Vice President, Trump stated: "I don't know how he could have been so incompetent in his debate performances and then all of a sudden be OK against Bernie [Sanders]. My point is, if you go back and watch some of those numerous debates, he was so bad. He wasn't even coherent. And against Bernie, he was."

As the debate drew closer, Trump hammered away, tweeting: "I will be strongly demanding a Drug Test of Sleepy Joe Biden prior to, or after, the Debate on Tuesday night. Naturally, I will agree to take one also. His Debate performances have been record setting UNEVEN, to put it mildly. Only drugs could have caused this discrepancy???"

At a rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina on September 19, Trump crudely commented:

“I got a debate coming up with this guy. You never know. They gave him a big fat shot in the ass… and for two hours, he is better than ever before. Problem is, what happens after that?”

Trump should talk. He often sniffles while speaking, leading people to suggest he'd inhaled a substance. At the Republican National Convention many people thought his son Don Jr. was high on cocaine while he spoke on Aug. 25.

Biden has said he's never smoked marijuana. If he is suffering from memory loss, there are legal supplements for that. It's possible the 77-year-old Democratic presidential nominee might need a memory boost from time to time. Prevajen, the over-the-counter supplement, promises to do just that.

Biden certainly will not consent to a drug test. On September 28, Trump took to Twitter again to declare: "Joe Biden just announced that he will not agree to a Drug Test. Gee, I wonder why?"

To which Biden's camp responded:

"We'd expect nothing less from Donald Trump, who pissed away the chance to protect the lives of 200K Americans when he didn't make a plan to stop COVID-19."
