10. Activists Lead Monthly Protests at Liberty Bell
Once a month a year, Philadelphia marijuana activists congregated in Independence Park for Smoke Down Prohibition protests. What started innocuously evolved into a heavily-patrolled event resulting in numerous arrests, including organizers Chris Goldstein (right) and N.A. Poe, who paid a $805 fine earlier this month. Goldstein goes to trial in January. Expect more Smoke Downs in the New Year.
