Colorado Marijuana Tax Report: February 2014

Nearly $30 million has been collected by recreational marijuana stores in the first two months of legal sales in Colorado. (marijuana.com)

Recreational marijuana sales in Colorado rose 11% in February over January. A total of $2.2 in taxes were collected on an estimated $15.7 million of retail sales.

In January, a total of $2 million taxes were collected on $14 million of retail sales.

A total of 83 businesses paid taxes compared to 59 in January.

Denver Country leads the state in marijuana tax revenues (a whopping 58% of the total in February):
