The Cannabis Voter Project Wants You to Register to Vote!

The Cannabis Voter Project, an off-shoot of HeadCount, wants people to register to vote on National Voter Registration Day, Sept. 25. "When the community votes, we all win," is their slogan. Go to here to register to vote.

"Cannabis legalization is an issue that has the power to drive voter turnout in a big way. HeadCount.org, a non-partisan voter engagement organization, launched the Cannabis Voter Project to unleash that power. Our aim is to educate Americans about how voting can impact cannabis policy."

There are plenty of pro-pot candidates to vote for on Nov. 6 and four states have initiatives on the ballot that would legalize either recreational or medical marijuiana. Those states are:

• Michigan's Prop 1 would legalize recreational use in the Wolverine State.

• Three medical-use measures are on the ballot in Missouri: Amendments 2 ands 3 and Prop C.

• North Dakota's Measure 3 would legalize recreational use and expunge records in the Peace Garden State.

• Utah's Prop 2 would legalize medical use in the Beehive State.
