The House of Representatives floor vote for the MORE Act to legalize marijuana will not take place next week as expected and has been moved to later in the year.
Sued in Oregon by NORML board chair Randy Quast for $1 million, defendants Leah Maurer and Travis Maurer celebrated the case's dismissal and $100,000 settlement award on September 16.
As the closing speaker at the National Cannabis Policy Summit, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries focused on the MORE Act, which may be voted on in the House next week. "We will deschedule marijuana at the federal level and begin the process of legalizing it throughout the land," he predicted.

The Nebraska Supreme Court has reversed the Secretary of State's decision to place a medical-marijuana initiative on the November ballot. "We are absolutely devastated by the Supreme Court ruling," Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana stated.
