Three Deaths Connected to Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas

Blue Dream: Fans dance to the music at Electric Daisy Carnival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on June 20.

Three EDM fans who went to Las Vegas for the Electric Daisy Carnival on June 20-22 died either en route, in the parking lot or afterwards at a resort. Toxicology reports have yet to be released.

The event's promoter Insomniac claims to have a "zero-tolreance drug policy" and advises, "Don't be the person that ends up on YouTube getting escorted out of the venue!"

The up-all-night event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway featured a who's who of DJs and EDM acts, including Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Bassnectar, Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, Diplo, John Digweed. Kaskade, Paul Oakenfold. Paul van Dyk and Tiestro.

After the first death was reported - Montgomery Tsang, who collapsed in the lot on the opening day - Insomniac stated: "One death is one too many, and we all must do our part to keep each other safe, healthy and happy, tonight and every night."

The following night Anthony Anaya was pronounced dead at the Ydara resort after attending the Carnival.

The third death wasn't reported until a week later. Joey Saychack arrived from Fresno planning to attend EDC on June 20, but never made it out of the house he was renting.

Insomniac took no responsibility, stating: "This individual never set foot inside of our event and Electric Daisy Carnival had nothing to do with this incident. Insomniac continues to do everything possible to keep our fans safe, but at a certain point, the media needs to focus on personal responsibility/accountability and stop placing blame on the events these individuals attend, or in this case, think about attending."

In addition, there were hundreds of medical calls and 29 drug-related arrests.
