Canceled 2021 Events

Sweetwater 420 Fest - Atlanta, GA

Since being founded in 2014 by Atlanta's Sweetwater Brewing Company, which features a number of hemp beers, this became the largest commerical 4/20 event in the country. The festival has been canceled for last two years. 

 

420 Hippie Hill - 4/20 San Francisco, CA

The original tradition of 420 on 4/20 is upheld in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, where a horde of stoners gather and light up together every April 20. The 4/20 Hippie Hill gathering has been canceled the last two years.

 

FlyHi 420 Music Festival - 4/20 Denver, CO

Denver is home base for 420 events. The FlyHi 420 Music Festival (formerly Mile High 420 Festival) in Civic Center Park was canceled the last two years.

 

420 Vancouver - 4/20 Vancouver, BC

One of the largest 4/20 events featured Cypress Hill (pictured above) in 2019. The event was canceled the last two years.

 

Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival - Indio, CA

This popular California music festival, founded in 1999, takes place over consecutive weekends in April. The 2020 event was postponed, rescheduled and then canceled again. There will not be a Coachella Festival in 2021.

 

Seattle Hempfest - Seattle, 8/20-22

Along with Boston Freedom Rally, this is one of the longest running cannabis events in the U.S. However, it's been canceled the last two years. 

 

New Jersey Cannabis Festival - Atlantic City, NJ 8/21-22

This first-time event in the Garden State was schedule to take place at the Showboat Resort, but the venue canceled at the last minute, citing complaints from customers and Atlantic City officials. In a letter to organizer Jeff Zick, Showboat contended the event wasn't a goo fit for the "family-friendly  resort."

 

Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival - Manchester, TN 9/3-5

The great jamband fest was expected to return to Tennessee in September, but then Hurricane Ida came roaring up throught Tennesse. This followed recent flooding west of Nashville in Waverly, just two hours away from Manchester, where Bonnaroo takes place. The line-up included Foo Fighters and Tame Impala. 

 

Karma Cup Festival - Toronto 9/11-12

The 7th Karma Cup was expected to feature "live music and DJ’s,  exhibit booths, speakers, an awards ceremony, plus notable Canadian cannabis legends as surprise guests," according to the website. 

 

CannaHemp Festival - Wrightsville, PA 10/9

Hempzels was the main sponsor of this planned day-long event in Southeastern Pennslyvania.

 

The State of Cannabis - Los Angeles-area 11/4-5

This California event was expected to returning in November, but was cancelled instead.
