2021 Cannabis-Industry Events Guide

After a complete wipeout in 2020 due to Covid-19, cannabis-industry conferences and festivals have been making a comeback in 2021.

However, people have begun to test positive for Covid after attending events. Many people openly shared joints as if the Delta variant was not spreading like a Western wildfire.

The events listed below are subject to change. When the first in-person events began happening in March and as more Americans were vaccinated, a plethora of events were and continue to be announced. It’s unclear how many events have acted as spreaders. CHAMPS in Las Vegas (July 27-29) boasted 19k attendance, and some who were there have since tested positive. The same goes for several attendees of the Chem Comp in New York on July 31.

Jerry Szycer tells CelebStoner: "Plenty of my friends are fighting the rona after CHAMPS. My friend who put on the big afterparty event with Afroman caught a bad case. Bongs and joints were being passed around freely."

Susan Soares says about her The State of Cannabis event in November: "I have a clause that I get my money back if things go south with Covid. I’m watching the trends. It may be that people have to be vaccinated, but I'm not sure yet."

With new indoor regulations going into effect in various states and cities, planners and producers may need to reconsider the size and scope of their events, making further safety precautions or even postponing once again and taking events back online.

Here's a list of scheduled events and events that have already occurred in 2021:
