The Top 20 Classic Stoner Songs of All Time, Part 2

SPECIAL EXTRA CLASSIC STONER SONG

Got to Get You Into My Life - The Beatles (1966)

"Another road where maybe/ I could see another kind of mind there."

An album track from Revolver, the Lennon and McCartney song never got a proper single release until 1976 (it hit No. 7). McCartney has said about the song: “'Got to Get You into My Life' was one I wrote when I had first been introduced to pot ... So [it's] really a song about that, it's not to a person. It's actually an ode to pot, like someone else might write an ode to chocolate or a good claret." Covered by Cliff Bennett & the Rebel Rousers (1966) and Earth, Wind & Fire (1978).
