Wrangler Releases Bob Marley-Style Denin Jacket

The marketing of Bob Marley and his family name continues with a limited-edition clothing line from Wrangler, including a $79 blue-denim jacket with a laser print of Marley's image on the back. The other four items are t-shirts. Marley wore Wrangler jackets, shirts and jeans.

Described an "a homage to one of the greats," Wrangler says it will donate $25,000 to the Bob Marley Foundation "in celebration of the Wrangler x Bob Marley Collection."

According to Wrangler:

"It’s a look befitting of a first-class artist, cultural influence and revolutionary reggae master. With an impact that continues to be felt across the world today, Bob Marley taught us the power of music in bringing people together. We’re proud to offer this exclusive, limited-edition collection in honor of one of the greatest musicians that ever lived, and even prouder that he chose Wrangler denim on and off the stage."

The Marley Estate has licensed the Marley-penned "Three Little Birds" for several car commericals over the years. The Toyota ad below is currently appearing and Hyundai ad dates back to 2013.

In 2018, Forbes estimated that the estate earned $23 million the previous year "partly from the sale of family-branded products like speakers, coffee and Marley Natural cannabis.," the New York Time reported.

Founded in 2014, Marley Natural products are available in states where marijuana is legal in the U.S., such as California.
