Anthony Bourdain: High in Uruguay

Anthony Bourdain relaxes with a joint in Montevideo, Uruguay on "Parts Unknown."

"I'm permitted to smoke weed on camera now," Anthony Bourdain tells a Uruguayan rock band during his recent visit to the South American country. He's handed a joint and takes a big hit

"Proceed to smoke weed," he narrates on Parts Unknown (Season 11, Episode 2) on CNN (Sundays at 9 pm ET/CT). "It's cool, ' doing it. Somebody call Jeff Sessions, he'll shit himself."

Not only can Bourdain, the food-obsessed adventure traveler, now puff on TV, he can apparently also curse with abandon.

"So if I want to open a marijuana hydroponic farm?" he wonders.

"When are we starting it?" one of the guys in the band asks.

"I don't know," Bourdain smiles. "Let me smoke another joint."

Over the years, Bourdain has traveled to cannabis-friendly destinations like Jamaica and Morocco, but never dared to "smoke weed on camera." Now we know why. CNN has loosened its on-air regulations. Last year, on Season 10's Episode 7, he smoked joints during a visit to Seattle.

Uruguay legalized marijuana in 2013 and started commercial sales last year.
