Downer for Browner: Seattle All-Pro Misses Stoner Bowl

CB Brandon Browner can’t be too happy about his latest drug-related suspension, this one for the rest of the season.

In November 2013, Seahawks' cornerback Brandon Browner was suspended for the rest of the season after his third violation of the NFL's substance-abuse policy. He previously tested positive for pot and Adderall. Browner was sidelined for the Stoner Bowl between Seattle and Denver.

Update: In March, Brown was reinstated by the NFL and signed with the Patriots. However, he had to sit out the first four games of the 2014 season.

Browner was docked four games ine 2013 when he tested positive for Adderall. He also failed a drug test in 2005 when he played for the Broncos. After playing at Oregon State, Browner began his professional career in Denver, bolted to the CFL, then signed with Seattle in 2011, the year he played in the Pro Bowl.

Already sidelined with a groin injury, Browner had been replaced by Walter Thurmond, who was later suspended himself for four games after failing a drug test for marijuana. Thurmond is a fourth-year player out of Oregon.
