David Moore mug shot and in uniform

Chicago Bears wide receiver David Moore was arrested on drug and weapon charges in Gainesville, Texas on July 3.

The Gainesville resident was found asleep at the wheel at a Taco Bell drive-thru at 11:18 pm. When police arrived, they claimed Moore smelled of marijuana. A search of his pick-up truck found "a package of THC edible candies along with three pistols."

Moore was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful carrying of weapons. Taken to the Cooke County jail, he bailed out on July 4.

Moore played football at Gainesville HS and then East Central University in Oklahoma before being selected in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL draft by Seattle. From 2018-2020, he had 13 TD catches with the Seahawks. Moore signed with Carolina in 2021 and with the Bears in April. He hasn't had a reception since leaving Seattle.
