Bucs' Spence Suspended One Game by NFL Over Pot Bust
In 2014, eight NFL players were arrested for marijuana possession. The first of 2015 was Tampa Bay defensive lineman Akeem Spence, who was busted for pot in Alabama on Jan. 13.

Busted for Pot, Blount and Bell Suspended by NFL
Running backs Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount were arrested for marijuana possession during a traffic stop near Pittsburgh last August. Both have since been suspended by the NFL.
Josh Gordon Suspended for 2015 Season
Facing yet another suspension for failing a test for alcohol, Browns receiver Josh Gordon took the offensive, writing a lengthy explanation that blasts members of the sports media, including Stephen A. Smith and Charles Barkley. On Feb. 3, he was suspended for the entire 2015 season.

At the Rogers Cup in Montreal on Aug. 15, Novak Djokovic walked over to the umpire and told him that "somebody's getting high" in the crowd. "Honestly, don't you smell it?" he asked. Djokovic made several toke references to illustrate his point.
Jets' Sheldon Richardson: 'I'm Not a Dope Fiend'
Six NFL players, including Pro Bowler Sheldon Richardson, were suspended for testing positive for a substance of abuse (most likely marijuana) or PEDs in July. Two more players, including perennial All-Pro tight end Antonio Gates, tested positive for a PEDs.
