Demetrius Harris, the Chiefs' backup tight end, was arrested Mar. 7 after a traffic stop led to a search that produced more than 35 grams of pot in the car. Police charged Harris with suspicion of felony possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
Green Bay receiver Geronimo Allison was arrested for marijuana possession in September. The charge was filed in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin in December, but was revealed several days before the Packers met the Cowboys in the NFL playoffs on Jan. 15.
Second-year defensive end Randy Gregory failed three drug tests for THC in 2015 and was suspended for four games at the start of the 2016 season. He's since missed two more tests and now has been docked for a year.
"He needs cannabis," a NFL source says about Bills offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson, who suffers from Crohn's disease and has been suspended twice this season for failing drug tests. "You can't take painkillers with the way his intestines are."
The No. 9 college football team in the country may lose several players after five Notre Dame Fighting Irishmen were charged with marijuana possession during a traffic stop 45 miles south of South Bend on Aug. 19.
