Between Me and My Mind

Given all access into the life of Phish frontman Trey Anastasio, Steven Cantor paints the picture of a happy family man who loves to create music with his bandmates. Working on his Ghosts of the Forest solo album, Anastasio jams in his rehearsal barn in Vermont as the band prepares for various 2017 events, including the Baker’s Dozen and New Year’s Eve shows at Madison Square Garden. The elephant in the room is the guitarist’s 2006 heroin arrest, which resulted in him entering a drug court program. This is not discussed, though Anastasio acknowledges he had an alcohol problem at the time. There's also a jovial conversation about LSD during which he says he often dosed himself in the eyes. Clean and sober, Anastasio just wants to keep playing music. “I’m never gonna stop,” he promises. “I don’t wanna stop.” PrimeYouTube
