Plot: Two girlfriends go out partying, take Ecstasy and then have to recreate what happened that night. Liman went on to direct The Bourne Identity (20022) and American Made (2017).

Cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Topher Grace
Box office: $14.4 million
Adventureland (2009) co-stars Eisenberg and Stewart team up again in this action-packed comedy. Mike (Eisenberg), who worked for the CIA, needs to use his considerable abilities (with the help of weed) to vanquish his enemies. Nourizaeh also directed the equally inspired Project X (2012).

Plot: After Jane (Faris) eats a pot cupcake, she goes on several adventures before heading to the weed rally.

Plot: Four Scottish friends fight over a heroin stash. Boyle did a terrific sequel, T2: Trainspotting (2017). He's also directed Academy Award winner Slumdog Millionaire (2009), The Beach (2001) and Yesterday (2019).
