Bryce Dallas Howard heads the cast of Tom Kingsley's London-set druggy dramedy. Her stand-up comic Kat teaches an improv class and is recruited by the police to help them nab criminals. Kat and her mates Marion (Orlando Bloom) and Hugh (Nick Muhammed) all need work, so they accept the offer on a lark.
Of course, the trio is way over their heads when they encounter coke dealer Fly (Paddy Considine) and Albanian heavies he associates with. It takes improv skills to finagle their way out of trouble as the stakes get progressively higher. Some of this is silly and played for laughs, despite a few dead bodies here and there.
Kat has a a bevy of girlfriends who worry about her. They're so oblivious to her side gig taking down dealers that they stage a hilarious intervention.
Bloom as "the muscle" continuously up the ante, method acting with guns, swords and a mean stare.
The third wheel Mohammed samples the coke and has a few other memorable scenes.
But it's Howard (Ron's daughter) – the only American in the cast – who holds the film together, slyly walking away with the movie.
