University of Alabama cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick was arrested for marijuana possession in Bradenton, Florida on Jan. 17. The All-American helped lead the Crimson Tide to the national championship eight days earlier.
Bears Boot Hurd After Coke Bust
Chicago Bears special teams player Sam Hurd was arrested on Dec. 14 after he agreed to purchase a kilo of cocaine from an informant. The Bears swiftly released Hurd, who posted a $100,000 bond.
Coke Stash Found in Boxer's Home
Former WBO light flyweight champion Ivan Calderon wasn't home when the DEA raided a property he owns in Puerto Rico on Wednesday. They found 498 pounds of cocaine. Calderon denied any knowledge of the stash and was not charged.
